Nigeria: PDP Leads in Many States - PDP
Despite last week's riots in many Northern states where its chieftains' houses and offices were major targets, the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] appeared to have fully recovered its feet and was on the way to winning yesterday's governorship and state assembly elections in the majority of those states. As at midnight however, only a fraction of the results were in and the situation could still change in many states. Final results are expected to be announced in all the states today.
